Infant physical therapy. Lactation-informed. Whole body focused.
Most people think of physical therapy as something for injuries or surgery recovery, but infant physical therapy is something entirely different.
It is about making sure your baby has every opportunity to move freely, feed successfully, and develop with confidence from the very beginning. It is about catching the small things before they become bigger things.
It is about supporting your baby and your whole family through one of the most tender seasons of life.
Dr. Brenda is a pediatric physical therapist and certified breastfeeding specialist who has dedicated her practice entirely to infants. Her whole body approach means that no matter what brings you in, she is looking at your baby completely — because the way your baby moves, feeds, and feels are never separate from one another.

How we can help:
-
Torticollis is a tightness in the neck muscle that causes your baby to prefer looking in one direction, tilt their head to one side, or both. It is more common than most people realize, and it responds beautifully to early intervention. (Yes, come see me as soon as you notice!)
Treatment is always gentle and play based. We work to release tension in the neck and surrounding muscles, guide your baby through movement they have been missing, and equip you with a home program so progress continues between visits.
-
Plagiocephaly is a flattening of one area of your baby's skull caused by repeated pressure on the same spot. It is often connected to torticollis, since a baby who prefers to look one way will consistently rest their head on the same side.
The earlier we act, the more we can accomplish without a helmet. Treatment focuses on releasing underlying neck and body tension, teaching repositioning strategies for daily life, and guiding your baby toward fuller, more symmetrical movement.
-
If your baby seems to be taking longer than expected to roll, sit, crawl, or walk — or if their movement looks stiff, asymmetrical, or effortful — early support can make a meaningful difference.
We assess your baby's movement and strength in a thorough but playful way, identify what is getting in the way of the next milestone, and build a personalized plan to get there. You will leave every session with “homework” to support your baby's development at home between visits.
-
Does your baby arch their back, seem stiff or rigid, startle easily, or struggle to settle? If your baby seems uncomfortable, let’s work together to figure out why, not just “wait it out.”
Tension can come from positioning in the womb, a difficult delivery, a tongue tie, or a nervous system that simply needs support finding its way to calm. Through gentle hands-on therapy, we work to release tension throughout the body, support nervous system regulation, and help your baby find more ease in the way they move, feed, and rest.
-
A tongue tie restricts how freely your baby's tongue can move — and since the tongue is everything when it comes to feeding, even a subtle restriction can have a big impact. Treatment looks different depending on where your family is in the process.
Before a release, we prepare the body by releasing tension in the jaw, neck, and surrounding muscles, improve feeding where possible, and walk you through exactly what to expect on release day including wound care. After a release, we help your baby learn to use their new tongue mobility through oral motor exercises, guided feeding support, and continued body work. Skipping this important step is the most common reason families do not see the results they hoped for.
-
Tummy time is your baby's first workout and the foundation for every milestone that follows. If your baby screams the moment you put them on their belly, they may need more than just practice.
We identify why tummy time is hard for your specific baby, whether that is neck tension, body discomfort, limited strength, or something else entirely, and create a plan to make it more comfortable and successful. You will leave every visit with exercises and strategies that actually work for your baby.
